Meet the Doctor

Steven Chau, Jr., O.D.

Dr. Steven Chau Jr. was born and raised in Houston and grew up with vision impairment that required correction at an early age. Growing up in a family that had eye health needs, he knew the importance of quality eye exams, which sparked his interest in the profession of Optometry. Dr. Chau went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Media Productions at the University of Houston graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. He later spent his next four years earning his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

During his time at the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Chau completed his externships at Lackland Air Force Base and HOPE Community Clinic, where he focused on primary eye care, specialty contact lenses, management of ocular diseases, and co-managing care with other healthcare professions. He continues to live by a commitment to provide genuine care to the community. During his recreational time, he enjoys photography, painting, playing sports, going on food adventures, and spending time with his family. He is thrilled to be the optometrist to serve you and your family.
